Team Bios
2023-24
Aiden "Tunnels" Bridges (he/him) is a senior and second-year member. He is on the outreach, connections, and scouting teams, and he can ride a bike standing up and with no hands.
Emily Claire "Mama Duck" Lorenzen (she/they) is a junior and third-year member. She is the head of the programming and media teams, and they used to play competitive classical piano.
Caden "Tooth" Lammers (he/him) is a sophomore and second year member. He is on the build team, and his favorite quote is, "We can do this the easy way or the Walmart way." (Yes, it's from that one TikTok.)
Mason "Stick" Norem is a sophomore and second year member. He is on the build and design teams and may or may not have dropped the robot at state last year.
Clayton "The Silence" Kramer is a sophomore and second year member. He is on the programming team and builds video games for fun.
Michael Walbeck (he/him) is a freshman and first year member. He leads the media team and hates giving fun facts about himself.
Building
Addi Hamilton (she/her) is a freshman and first-year member. She is interested in notebooking and media, and her favorite food is waffles.
A. Diesburg is a freshman and first year member. She is interested in design and notebooking, and she painted the mural from Into the Spider-Verse on her bedroom wall.
James Lockie (he/him) is a freshman and first year member. He can ride a unicycle.
Morgan Smith (she/her) is a freshman and first year member. She has three very adorable and floofy cats.
Collin Cordes is a freshman and first year member. He is on the build team.
Coaches and Mentors
Megan Lorenzen is a second year coach. She is a business owner and volunteer with passions for organizing data and growing things.
Jim Walbeck is a first year coach. He is a systems engineer at John Deere. He likes to garden and build things.
Kylie Buccholz is a freshman at Wartburg and former member of FTC #9203 and FRC #525. She is a mentor.
Peggy Hamilton is a computer science professor at Wartburg. She is a notebooking and communications mentor.
Kevin Johnson (he/him) is a Hardware Control Systems engineer. He has worked 33 years as an electronic product design engineer and 22 years with John Deere Power Systems.
Jim Hein is a sixth year robotics coach and a machinist at John Deere. He loves NASCAR, hunting, and coffee. He can also play the 5 string banjo.
